Fake Moving Company Burglarizes Homes In NC |
WRAL in Raleigh-Durham NC reports that burglars in a fake moving van are robbing homes in broad daylight. The robbers simply pull in front of a home, break in through the back door, and then remove all the victim's belongings. Uninformed neighbors simply believe the victim is moving and do not call the police. Read more through the link below. |

NJ Sues (Another) Mover |
The State of New Jersey sued East Coast Assembly & Moving, of Spring Lake, over allegations that include operating without a license since 2004.

Unlicensed NC Mover Back in Business |
The owner of a Durham NC moving company that previously lost its license is back in business. ABC11TV in Durham also reports that Derric Fozard and his new company, RTP Professional Movers, still owes tens of thousands of dollars to previous customers. |

NJ Sues Parsippany Mover |
The Daily record reports that the State of New Jersey has sued Padded Wagon Movers of Parsippany. The company is accused of violating the State's Public Movers and Warehousemen Licensing Act, related regulations and the Consumer Fraud Act. |

Mover Banned From D.C. |
WJLA News reports that Melvin Yates and University Moving and Storage have been banned from conducting business in D.C. A local judge determined that Yates lured customers with low rates and held their goods ransom until he was paid a higher fee. |

"He Bamboozled Us" |
WATE News in Knoxville, TN reports that a local mobile home mover has been scamming consumers. In this case, the company requests payment in full in advance. As you might suspect, the mover never shows up to do the work. In the mobile home moving business, it is more typical for a consumer to pay 1/2 on load, and 1/2 on delivery. |
